Raj Darshi is a visual artist whose work brings together process, drawing, and material practice. His practice combines computational processes with traditional art-making, using ink, acrylic medium, rendering, pen plotting, and hand-finishing to develop each artwork.

Raj’s creative process draws from illustrations, collages, and patterns inspired by nature, architectural grids, color gradients, cosmic forms, and landscapes. He develops visual assets from photographs and explores ways of translating them into drawn forms through computational methods, using these as a foundation. From there, he works across pen, ink, and acrylic on paper and canvas, using techniques such as dry brushing, gradients, splattering, pouring, wet-on-wet, washes, and impasto to build visual movement, often allowing the texture of the canvas itself to become part of the work. Through this continuous interplay between planned processes and spontaneous gestures, each artwork evolves into its own character and visual language.

He is also an industrial and automotive designer specializing in visualization and image-making, with experience in exterior and interior design for iconic American brands such as Cadillac and Chevrolet. Based in the Bay Area, Raj maintains a disciplined studio practice.
