About the artist- Raj Darshi
Raj Darshi is a California Bay Area–based artist whose work is driven by a passion for digital design and the craft of analog pen-plotter drawing. His process begins digitally, where he creates illustrations, designs patterns and collages, selects color palettes, and occasionally transforms photographs into vector paths for the plotter. He works with a range of pens, inks, papers, canvas, and mixed materials, often adding hand-drawn details for texture and expression. His art includes abstract patterns, landscapes, cosmic diagrams, color gradients, and architectural grids. This body of work reflects a disciplined practice and a deepening understanding of the technique, demonstrating how structured forms can evolve into more organic expressions.
His background in industrial design and user experience, honed through a long career in color, material, and finish design within the automotive industry, brings a unique perspective that blends precision and creativity in every piece.
When he’s not in the studio or at an art event, Raj can be found hiking, backpacking, and visiting national parks with his family. He loves traveling and exploring culture.
